Telekom Increases Data Volume in MagentaMobil Plans

On June 1, 2026, Deutsche Telekom increased the monthly data volumes in its MagentaMobil Data plans. The prices for the plans remain unchanged. The new plans provide more data volume for both new and existing customers, which will be activated automatically. The MagentaMobil Data S plan now includes 10 GB for €14.95 per month, doubling the previous volume of 5 GB.

The MagentaMobil Data M plan now offers 40 GB for €19.95 per month, whereas the previous plan only included 10 GB. The largest plan, MagentaMobil Data L, now encompasses 80 GB for €29.95, compared to the previous 25 GB. The upgrade in data volume occurs automatically for all existing customers, who do not need to take any additional steps. All plans provide access to the 5G network, with theoretical download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbit/s. In addition to the increased data volumes, customers benefit from EU roaming and a hotspot flat rate.

After the monthly data volume is consumed, the downstream speed is throttled to 64 Kbit/s and the upstream speed to 16 Kbit/s. The plans can be booked with a 24-month contract or in a flexible variant without a minimum term. For the 24-month contracts, there is an option to finance suitable devices through an installment purchase. Customers who combine a device and plan receive a one-time device discount of €50 in the MagentaMobil M and €100 in the MagentaMobil L. For customers with a landline connection at Telekom, there is the MagentaEINS advantage, which additionally includes 1 GB of data volume and a flat rate for calls from the landline to all German mobile networks.

It should be noted that the MagentaMobil Data plans do not offer traditional telephony functions but focus on mobile surfing and streaming. A special promotion runs until June 8, 2026. New customers who sign up for a MagentaMobil M or MagentaMobil L plan will receive unlimited data volume for 24 months as well as €240 cashback. The new plans are particularly suitable for users who are frequently on the go and rely on mobile internet.

With this adjustment, Deutsche Telekom is responding to the increasing demand for data volume driven by the growing use of streaming services and mobile applications. Telekom plans to actively promote the new plans to inform customers about the benefits of the increased data volumes. The adjustment of the plans is part of the strategy to strengthen competitiveness in the mobile market. The new plans are available immediately and can be booked through the Telekom website or in Telekom stores.
