Rebake Motors Presents New Electric Moped 'Abler'

The Swedish company Rebake Motors has unveiled its first electric moped, the "Abler", at the motorcycle fair EICMA in Milan. The company is backed by Karl Ytterborn, who previously worked at the now-defunct electric motorcycle manufacturer Cake. The "Abler" features a minimalist design reminiscent of Cake models, but focuses on simpler construction and lower costs. The frame of the "Abler" is made from 42-millimeter thick aluminum tubes, which also serve as mounting points for luggage and accessories. This allows users to attach baskets, bags, and other gear directly to the frame.

This functionality is intended to support practical use in urban environments and increase flexibility. Rebake Motors offers the "Abler" in two versions. The Abler45 is an electric moped with a top speed of 45 km/h, while the Abler80 is classified as a lightweight motorcycle and can reach speeds of over 80 km/h. The Abler45 is designed for daily city traffic and is approved as an EU moped of class L1e-B. The manufacturer states that the Abler45 is equipped with sufficient battery capacity for daily use.

The range with two removable 2-kWh LFP batteries is up to 160 kilometers. The Abler80 achieves a range of 114 kilometers with the same batteries. Both models can be charged at a standard outlet. The charging time for one battery is approximately four hours. This allows for flexible everyday use, as the batteries can be easily charged at home or at work.

The removable batteries also provide the option to extend the range by using additional batteries. Prices for the two models start at €3,990 for the Abler45 with a single battery. When using a dual battery, the price increases to €4,790. The Abler80 is available from €4,990 and comes standard with a dual battery. With the "Abler", Rebake Motors aims to offer an affordable and practical solution for urban transportation.

The combination of thoughtful design and the ability to attach accessories directly to the frame is intended to meet the needs of commuters and city dwellers. Karl Ytterborn, co-founder of Rebake Motors, emphasizes: "We want to provide a sustainable mobility solution that is both functional and affordable." The launch of the "Abler" takes place in an increasingly competitive market for electric mobility. More and more companies are developing innovative solutions to meet the demands for environmentally friendly transportation. Rebake Motors positions itself with the "Abler" as a serious player in this segment.

EICMA 2026 will take place from November 7 to 12, 2026, in Milan and is considered one of the most important fairs for the motorcycle and two-wheeler industry. Rebake Motors is using this platform to generate interest in its new electric mopeds and reach potential customers.
