Trump-Phone T1 Launches This Week
The golden Trump-Phone T1 will be delivered to the first buyers this week, following months of delays. Company CEO Pat O’Brien confirmed that the delivery of pre-ordered devices is now beginning. The smartphone, priced at $499, has generated significant attention since its announcement in June 2025. The T1 features a striking design that includes a gold finish and a US flag on the back. The advertising slogan "American-Proud Design" aims to make a political statement.
Technically, the device offers a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hertz, a Snapdragon processor, 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30-watt fast charging. Notably, it marks the return of the classic 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, which is absent in many current smartphones. A transparent protective case is also included in the package. These features are intended to set the T1 apart from other high-end smartphones. The long wait for the Trump-Phone has led to skepticism.
Originally, the device was announced for August 2025, but the launch date has been postponed multiple times. Critics have raised concerns about whether the smartphone will actually be produced, as customers have already made a $100 deposit. The advertising claims regarding the manufacturing of the T1 have also changed. Initially, it was claimed that the smartphone would be fully developed and produced in the USA. Analysts doubted this due to the lack of infrastructure for complete smartphone production in the USA.
Currently, Trump Mobile only speaks of assembling the first devices in the USA. The design of the T1 has also changed over time. Earlier product images showed a different camera arrangement, and the specifications for the display size varied on the website. Such changes are not uncommon in hardware development, but they increase doubts about the final production readiness of the device. Politically, the Trump-Phone is generating discussions.
Critics fear a conflict of interest, as the brand carries the name of the sitting US president. These concerns could affect sales figures and public perception of the product. The first deliveries of the Trump-Phone T1 are set to begin on May 15, 2026, as announced by the company.
