Kia has announced the introduction of three new electric vehicles that belong to the GT family. The EV3 GT and EV4 GT models are equipped with a powertrain that utilizes one electric motor on each axle. Both vehicles offer a total output of 292 horsepower and a torque of 468 Nm. The EV3 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and achieves a range of up to 532 kilometers. The EV4 GT is slightly faster with an acceleration time of 5.6 seconds and has a range of up to 505 kilometers.
The most powerful model, the EV5 GT, delivers 306 horsepower and a torque of 480 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, while its range is up to 476 kilometers. All three models are equipped with an 81.4 kWh battery, allowing for a charging time from 10 to 80 percent in about half an hour. The GT models are distinguished not only by their performance but also by advanced technologies. They feature electronically controlled suspension, specially calibrated steering, and active torque distribution.
The chassis was developed and tested in Sweden to ensure optimal driving characteristics. Additionally, the vehicles offer features such as Launch Control and Virtual Gear Shift, which simulates gear changes. A synthetic engine sound adapts to speed and acceleration to enhance the driving experience. Externally, the GT models are recognizable by their 20-inch wheels and neon green brake calipers. Inside, there are sports seats, a GT steering wheel, and special graphics in the driver display that emphasize the sporty ambiance.
Kia has placed great emphasis on a combination of performance and comfort in the design of the models. Prices for the new models start in Germany at €35,990 for the EV3 GT and €37,590 for the EV4 GT. The EV5 GT is available from €45,990, while a Sport Edition is offered from €59,900. The exact availability of the models will be announced in the coming months.
Kia aims to continuously expand the GT family and integrate innovative technologies into its electric vehicles. The new models are intended to be environmentally friendly while also providing a sporty driving experience. Kia's official website will provide further information about the models. The market launch of the new electric vehicles is planned for 2026, with exact dates yet to be announced.
