Skoda Unveils New Electric SUV Peaq
Skoda has released further details about its new electric flagship, the Peaq. The SUV will be unveiled on June 23, 2026, in France and, with a length of nearly 4.9 meters and a wheelbase of 2,965 mm, it is the largest model from the brand. The front of the Peaq features the brand's characteristic "Tech-Deck Face," combined with narrow, T-shaped LED headlights and a more angular design language than current models. The sketches show recessed door handles and wide D-pillars, giving the vehicle a powerful silhouette.
The rear of the Peaq follows the same design approach with T-shaped taillights and a continuous lighting element. The SUV accommodates up to seven people and boasts the largest panoramic glass roof ever installed in a Skoda. This roof is equipped with Dynamic Shade Control, allowing for individual adjustment of light entry in nine segments. The Peaq's range is estimated to exceed 600 kilometers, making it one of the most capable electric vehicles in its class. The trunk offers a volume of 935 liters, providing ample storage space.
Skoda plans to offer the Peaq in three powertrain variants. With DC fast chargers, the vehicle is expected to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 28 minutes. These charging times could be a decisive purchasing criterion for many potential buyers. Another highlight of the Peaq is the Vehicle-to-Load technology, which allows external devices such as e-bikes or caravans to be powered. This could be particularly interesting for electric vehicle users who often rely on additional energy sources.
The interior of the Peaq is complemented by an intuitive 13.6-inch portrait display and an augmented reality head-up display that shows all important information. The new digital vehicle key allows for convenient unlocking and starting of the vehicle via smartphone or smartwatch. Additional features include LED taillights, full LED matrix headlights, and alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches. These features are designed not only to enhance safety but also to improve the driving experience. Further technical details and information about the Peaq's equipment are not yet known. The official world premiere on June 23, 2026, is expected to provide more exciting insights into the new model.
